Dynamics 365 migration: common questions
How long does a Dynamics 365 migration take?
It depends on how much history and how many custom fields the old system holds. A straightforward migration is measured in weeks, not months, and we scope it after auditing the source database so the timeline is based on your data rather than a guess.
Can you migrate from Maximizer to Dynamics 365?
Yes, that's our most common migration. It starts with a full Maximizer data extraction — contacts, opportunities, activity history, user-defined fields and documents — which is validated before anything is loaded into Dynamics 365.
Which other CRMs can you migrate from?
Any system we can get data out of: Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, ACT!, Sage CRM, an old on-premise SQL database, or a pile of spreadsheets. If it exports a file or exposes an API, it can be mapped into Dynamics 365.
Will we lose our activity history and attachments?
No. History is migrated as timeline activity rather than flattened into a single notes field, and documents and attachments are migrated and relinked to the right record. Record counts are reconciled against the source before sign-off.
Do you work with businesses outside Brisbane?
Yes. We're based in Brisbane and work with clients across Australia. CRM migration work is done remotely, so location makes no practical difference to the project.
What does a Dynamics 365 migration cost?
It's quoted per project, after an audit of the source data. The variables are data volume, how many custom fields need mapping, document count and how much configuration Dynamics 365 needs. Microsoft licensing is separate and paid directly to Microsoft.
Can you automate work inside Dynamics 365 after the migration?
